Rodgers Defends Vacation Plans During Jets' Season: "I Work to Live, Not the Other Way Around"

Aaron Rodgers reportedly reached out to backup QB Tyrod Taylor, asking if he could "cover his shift" for the Jets' home game against the Texans on October 31st.

Apparently, Rodgers "double booked" himself with a vacation to Ukraine, and now his airline is only offering customer credit if he tries to change it.

Rodgers defended his decision, saying, "I planned this trip before the season even started. I figured a weekend getaway was a safe bet, but that was before the Jets rolled out their schedule without even consulting me. Two months' notice for a vacation is more than most people give, so I don’t see what the big deal is."

He added, "The media loves to turn nothing into something. It’s not every day you get the chance to hit the beaches of Ukraine in October. I work to live, not the other way around."

Drew Forbes

Drew was raised by his 3 dads on an Emu farm in Humboldt, Iowa. He has an irrational fear of cockroaches, and seafood restaurants that leave some of the skin on the fish they serve. In August, 2019 Drew blacked out drinking bourbon Manhattans, and when he woke up the next morning this website had been created. Drew doesn’t have a beard, but if he decided to grow one it would easily become the most interesting thing about him. When he grows up some day, he wants to die.
